Dorset Growth Fest is a free one-day event for growing Dorset businesses, showcasing home-grown and international innovators and achievers who'll share the principles, skills and mind-set needed for entrepreneurial and business success.

After hearing success stories from a variety of business leaders from across the sectors, industry experts will host masterclasses on a variety of hot topics in the afternoon to supply you with the all-important ‘how-tos’ to enable you to put what you’ve heard into practice. 

Growing a business isn’t easy and it doesn’t happen overnight, but with this free event, we aim to inspire you on your way to success, whether that is exploring future trends, raising your profile, expanding your team or reaching new audiences. 

No matter if you are a small business owner, a senior manager in a large corporation, or anywhere in between, as long as you are looking to grow, this free event is one not to be missed.

Dorset Growth fest 2019 is completely free to attend although there are limited spaces for the masterclasses so please booking is essential. 


Lara started her first business, Pacific Direct Ltd, at age 23,  and she sold her majority share (99%) in 2008 for the sum of £20 million. Since then, Lara has invested in several businesses, such as Gate8 Luggage, Dryrobe and Scentered. Lara is also an ambassador for UKTI for export; all whilst competing as an elite triathlete!

Jeff Mostyn is best known as Chairman of AFC Bournemouth. In the last five years, he has overseen the club’s ‘rags to riches’ journey from Division Two to football’s Premier League. As the former owner and now Chairman of AFC Bournemouth, Jeff has been instrumental in steering the club to the Premier League for the first time in its history.


Together with Manager, Eddie Howe, they are the only Chairman/Manager partnership to lead the same club in all four of English football’s top divisions. 


After lunch, you will be re-energised and have the opportunity to engage in two masterclasses covering topics of your choice. The masterclasses will be lead by local industry experts in smaller groups of 10-15 people, leaning on insights from the topics covered in the morning session.  


The experts will run interactive sessions, sharing their detailed knowledge, insights and strategies, giving you some of the 'how-to's' to address some of the challenges facing the industry today.
